GLOBAL School Searches and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group are pleased to join the Board of the BridgeWay North American School in announcing the appointment of Mr. Kevin Passafiume as the next Director of BridgeWay. Kevin, selected from other qualified and experienced educators and school leaders, will be stepping into the 2022-23 school year role. BridgeWay is in Mexico City, Mexico.

Kevin and his wife Amy will be relocating from Hanoi, where Kevin has most recently served as the Transformation Lead in the Office of the Superintendent of The Dewey Schools. In addition, he has previously served as Deputy Head of English Programs at TDS; Teacher, Counsellor, and Communications and Policy Advisor at Daystar Academy in Beijing, China; and as a Teacher at American Creativity Academy in Kuwait.

Kevin’s prior experience was primarily in government service in Canada, where he held Senior Advisor and Manager posts in different government ministries. His professional preparation includes undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Education, a master’s in Counselling, and coursework toward a Doctor of Education degree. In addition, Kevin has experience, training, and certificates in leadership, management, communication, change management, education, accreditation, teaching, and strategic position, all of which qualify him uniquely for leadership of this emerging international Christian School.

The Board of BridgeWay, in its announcement to the school community, communicated their excitement about Kevin’s appointment, indicating, “Kevin brings a great deal of experience that is essential for the ongoing growth and excellence of BridgeWay, which will greatly serve our families and students” and that Kevin will help to “bring BridgeWay into the future.” As Director of the BridgeWay North American School, Kevin will lead a team of teachers and staff to see children and families impacted through transformational education. BridgeWay loves and equips students by providing a values-based bilingual education taught primarily by Canadian, American, and Mexican teachers in preparation for Mexican, American, and Canadian universities.

Congratulations to Kevin, the BridgeWay School Board, and the school community as they begin a new chapter of the School’s ministry under Kevin’s leadership. Middle School Principal | Haven of Peace Academy (Tanzania)

GLOBAL School Searches is pleased to announce the appointment of Joscelyn Hill as Middle School Principal at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mrs. Hill brings seventeen years in Tanzania, including seven at HOPAC as a Middle and Senior School English teacher, where she has developed the school's IGCSE Literature curriculum and built a reputation as a trusted, informal leader among students, staff, and parents alike. Before joining HOPAC, Mrs. Hill spent fifteen years with Pioneer Bible Translators as a Literacy Consultant, developing mother-tongue literacy curricula and training literacy workers and teachers across language projects, alongside earlier classroom experience in Texas public schools. At HOPAC, her impact has extended well beyond the classroom: she has coached the World Scholar's Cup program, sponsored TEDx Youth, led mentor groups, served on the Child Safety Team, and led professional development for faculty, work that earned her a peer-nominated Teacher of the Year honor. She holds a BA in Bible, Missions, and Ministry from Abilene Christian University and postgraduate teacher certification from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Hill's approach to teaching is grounded in the conviction that every student carries the image of God within them, and that the classroom exists to equip them, in the fullest sense, to become their best selves. Senior School Principal | Haven of Peace Academy (Tanzania)

GLOBAL School Searches is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter "Kip" Korir as Senior School Principal at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mr. Korir has served HOPAC since 2023, most recently as Assistant Principal for Academics, where he led academic systems and curriculum implementation across the secondary division and directed the school's recent accreditation preparations. A mathematics and science educator by training, Mr. Korir brings a decade of international school experience spanning Kenya and Tanzania, including a term as Director of Studies at Brookside International School, where he helped lead the school's accreditation as a Cambridge International Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Education Science from Egerton University and is known for his calm, collaborative leadership style and his deep commitment to student growth. Mr. Korir's leadership philosophy is rooted in a conviction that every student is made in the image of God, and that this truth should shape how learning is approached in every subject.
