GLOBAL School Searches is pleased to announce the appointment of Joscelyn Hill as Middle School Principal at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mrs. Hill brings seventeen years in Tanzania, including seven at HOPAC as a Middle and Senior School English teacher, where she has developed the school's IGCSE Literature curriculum and built a reputation as a trusted, informal leader among students, staff, and parents alike.  Before joining HOPAC, Mrs. Hill spent fifteen years with Pioneer Bible Translators as a Literacy Consultant, developing mother-tongue literacy curricula and training literacy workers and teachers across language projects, alongside earlier classroom experience in Texas public schools. At HOPAC, her impact has extended well beyond the classroom: she has coached the World Scholar's Cup program, sponsored TEDx Youth, led mentor groups, served on the Child Safety Team, and led professional development for faculty, work that earned her a peer-nominated Teacher of the Year honor. She holds a BA in Bible, Missions, and Ministry from Abilene Christian University and postgraduate teacher certification from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Hill's approach to teaching is grounded in the conviction that every student carries the image of God within them, and that the classroom exists to equip them, in the fullest sense, to become their best selves. GLOBAL School Searches is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter "Kip" Korir as Senior School Principal at Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mr. Korir has served HOPAC since 2023, most recently as Assistant Principal for Academics, where he led academic systems and curriculum implementation across the secondary division and directed the school's recent accreditation preparations. A mathematics and science educator by training, Mr. Korir brings a decade of international school experience spanning Kenya and Tanzania, including a term as Director of Studies at Brookside International School, where he helped lead the school's accreditation as a Cambridge International Centre. He holds a Bachelor of Education Science from Egerton University and is known for his calm, collaborative leadership style and his deep commitment to student growth. Mr. Korir's leadership philosophy is rooted in a conviction that every student is made in the image of God, and that this truth should shape how learning is approached in every subject. GLOBAL School Searches and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group are pleased to join the Board of Escuela Internacional Sampedrana in announcing the appointment of Dr. Colin Brown as the school's new Superintendent. Dr. Brown, selected from among several highly qualified international school leaders, began his service at EIS for the 2025-26 school year. He brings twenty-eight years in education, including ten as a head of school, and two decades of international experience across Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Dr. Brown came to EIS from the American School in Taichung, Taiwan, where he served as Head of School from 2020 to 2024 and led a strategic plan that lifted enrolment to its highest level in the school's history while strengthening academic results and faculty retention. He previously served as Director of the International School of Sosua in the Dominican Republic, and earlier as a principal and director at international schools in Vietnam, Hungary, Guatemala, and China. He is a certified WASC chair and Cognia lead evaluator who has served on accreditation teams across four continents, and he founded the East Asia Pacific International Schools Association and the Taiwan Educator Recruiting Fair. A published author on school leadership and a mentor with AISH and EARCOS, Dr. Brown holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University, along with IBDP certification for heads of school. Founded in 1953, Escuela Internacional Sampedrana serves more than 1,700 students from preschool through high school on a 39-acre campus at the base of the Merendon Mountains in San Pedro Sula. The bilingual, Cognia-accredited school draws faculty from around the world and is widely regarded as one of the leading academic institutions in Honduras and Central America. GLOBAL School Searches and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group are pleased to join the Crossroads Christian Academy Board in announcing the appointment of Mr. Mark Arthur as the new Director of CCA. Mark, selected from among several qualified and experienced educators, stepped into the leadership role in preparation for the 2025-26 school year. He brings seventeen years in education, an established life and career in Panama, and a long commitment to quality education as ministry. Mark has taught Literature and Social Studies at Colegio Brader in Panama since 2012, where he designed curriculum, mentored new teachers, and led professional development. He previously served as Academic Supervisor at the Berlitz Language Center in Panama, managing a faculty of more than thirty teachers and overseeing hiring, coaching, and classroom observation. He earned a B.S. in Youth Ministry from John Brown University, graduating magna cum laude, and a B.S. in English Language Teaching from the Universidad del Istmo, where he was class valedictorian. Mark is a permanent resident of Panama and is fluent in Spanish.  Crossroads Christian Academy was founded as a ministry of Crossroads Bible Church in 1997 and is accredited by the Middle States Association and the Association of Christian Schools International, with full authorization from Panama's Ministry of Education. The school offers a U.S.-style, English-instruction program to a student body representing roughly two dozen nationalities. Originally from Wales, Dr. Gilbert brings over 26 years of international education leadership experience, having served in senior roles across Europe, Africa, and Asia, including Head of School positions in China, Uganda, and Zambia, and leadership posts in Switzerland and Italy. He has successfully guided schools through accreditation processes, founded new institutions, and mentored teachers and leaders to thrive in multicultural settings. His experience spans both Christian and international schools, giving him a distinct ability to integrate academic excellence with spiritual formation. Dr. Gilbert holds a PhD in Leadership and Management in International Education from University College London, an MBA in Education from Keele University, and the UK's National Professional Qualification for Headship. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, reflecting his ongoing commitment to both scholarship and faith. Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) is a private, fully accredited, non-profit Christian international school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Wikus brings a strong record of educational leadership across Zimbabwe and Zambia, most recently serving as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Solwezi, where he led curriculum implementation, strengthened staff performance, and advanced community engagement. Prior to this, he served as Head Teacher at Trident Prep Kalumbila, guiding curriculum development, learning support, and the establishment of key school traditions, including the creation of an Outdoor Education Centre. His earlier leadership roles include serving as Principal of Shiloh Learning Centre and Head of Key Stage 2 at Trident Prep Kalumbila. With a professional foundation in teaching English, History, Math, Science, and the Humanities, Wikus has taught at both primary and secondary levels and is known for his commitment to developing relationships, fostering student success, and working collaboratively toward a shared school vision. His academic preparation includes an MBA from UNICAF, an MA in Education from the University of South Wales, a BA in English and History from the University of South Africa, and a Diploma in Education from Midlands Christian Training Centre, complemented by extensive IGCSE training through the University of Cambridge. Jannie brings extensive leadership experience across South Africa, Malawi, Vietnam, and Zambia, including service as Principal of Ridgeway Primary School in South Africa, Head of School at Gateway International School in Hanoi, and Head of School at African Bible College Christian Academy in Malawi. Most recently, he has served as Principal and Lead Teacher at Trident Preparatory Kalumbila, where he strengthened academic standards, advanced staff development, enhanced community engagement, and ensured operational and financial stability. His professional preparation includes a Master of Arts in Education and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, leadership training through Wits Business School and Investec South Africa, and additional qualifications in school management, labor relations, contract law, and legislative drafting. Martin as the school’s Interim Director , effective July 1, 2026 . Scott brings more than 25 years of international education leadership, including service as Secondary Principal and Guidance Counselor at Mountainview International Christian School in Indonesia, Director of International Student Services at Anderson University, and Founder & CEO of Global Student Solutions (GSS) — a consultancy serving international schools across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. His work spans school improvement, student development, college and university readiness, and cross‑cultural leadership coaching. A Third Culture Kid who grew up in Tanzania and Kenya, Scott offers deep cultural fluency and lived understanding of globally mobile communities. He has developed the Global Student Academy (GSA), led a nine‑country consultant team, presented at AISA, authored six books on university readiness and global student development, and hosts the Global Student Voices podcast. Scott holds an MA in Education and a BA in Political Science from Anderson University. He is fluent in English and conversant in Swahili and Indonesian. We congratulate Scott R. Witherspoon as the next Head of School of QCS. Ms. Witherspoon, who was selected from among several qualified and experienced educators and school leaders, will begin her service at QCS on August 1, 2022. Ms. Witherspoon earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Indianapolis and is completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Purdue University. She has a broad range of experience in public and private schools in the United States and has proven success in maximizing student achievement in diverse school contexts. In addition to her classroom experience, Natalie has served in leadership roles across several campuses. She brings passion, vitality, knowledge, experience, Christian worldview, faith commitment, and a desire to minister through the leadership position at QCS. Quisqueya Christian School (QCS) is a non-denominational, college preparatory, Christian, American School located just outside of Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti. The school serves the English-speaking population of Port-au-Prince, which includes the children of missionaries, non-governmental and international organizations, diplomats, business, and professional families, and prepares students for the changing Haitian and global workforce.
