The GLOBAL School Consulting Group congratulates the Khoi Nguyen Education Group, the Canadian International School System, and the leadership and community of CIS on the appointment of Peter Embleton as Secondary Principal. Mr. Embleton has been an educator for 37 years, with over 20 years in leadership positions. Peter has a Chemistry and Education degree from St. Francis Xavier University and a Master of Education from the University of Ottawa (Organizational Studies). Peter values life-long learning and has Principal Qualifications, Supervisory Officers Papers, and qualifications in counseling and special education.
CIS will be Peter’s third principalship in an international school setting. He previously has been the high school principal for the Village School of Guatemala and Maple Leaf International School Tianjin-TEDA in the Peoples Republic of China. Peter is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. CIS is one of four educational programs operated by the Canadian International School System in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. CIS is committed to providing outstanding learning opportunities for students to demonstrate academic excellence, life skills, and character development. The School Improvement Plan is built on four pillars: Literacy, Numeracy/Math, Character Education and Community, and Culture and Caring. Through a Consultancy Agreement with the Toronto District School Board, Grade Twelve CIS students study Grade Twelve online and are eligible to graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
