 The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to join The Dewey Schools in Vietnam and the parent company EDUFIT in announcing that Laura Whiston has accepted the appointment as the Head of the English Program for the GIS System. Ms. Whiston is a credentialed and experienced international school educator and school leader with the proven capacity to lead academic programs and foster effective curriculum development and instructional and assessment practices in a high-achievement culture and make a difference in the success of each student. Ms. Whiston most recently served as the Vice-Principal of the Elementary at the Shanghai SMIC Private School International, where she was the school’s primary instructional leader. Previously, she was the school’s Academic Affairs Director. Her prior experience included a post as Literacy Instructional Coach at a Mace’s Lane Middle School in school in Maryland, USA. Laurie will travel to Hanoi as soon as it is logistically possible and will join a team being assembled to provide world-class leadership for The DEWEY Schools, serving the system’s schools in Hanoi and Haiphong.
