 The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to join the Kyiv Christian Academy Board in announcing the successful appointment of Mr. Nicholas Paul Sweeney as the Director, effective February 1, 2021. Dr. David A. Wells was the recruitment consultant representing KCA through the search process, and Wayne Lynch, an Executive Consultant with the GLOBAL Group, has provided strong leadership for KCA as Interim Director during the 2020-21 school year. Wayne will work with Mr. Sweeney in the transition of leadership over the coming months. Mr. Sweeney is an experienced educator and school leader who has worked as a teacher and at all levels of school administration and leadership. He is highly committed to Christian education and has proven his leadership capacity and commitment to authentic Christian education in highly respected school contexts. Before Nick’s recent service as a consultant for Providence Global Academy, he served as Superintendent of Gateway Christian Schools (Washington). Prior to GCS, he was the Superintendent of Arrowhead Christian Academy and Redlands Christian School (California). Nick has been connected to and ministered in Ukraine for many years, coordinating a missionary endeavor from 1993 through 2017.
Kyiv Christian Academy, commonly known as KCA, moved to a spacious and beautiful newly constructed school facility at the beginning of the 2019-20 school year. This marked a major advance for the school, which had occupied leased facilities since its inception. Until this change, the leased space significantly limited growth in program and enrollment. KCA, whose founding mission is to serve the children of Christian missionaries, is jointly accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association and offers a US-style educational program in a culturally diverse international context.
