GLOBAL School Searches and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group are pleased to join the Crossroads Christian Academy Board in announcing the appointment of Mrs. Jamie C. Jodrey as the new Director of CCA. Jamie, selected from among several qualified and experienced educators and school leaders, is taking on the leadership role as preparation begins for the 2022-23 school year.
Mrs. Jodrey has served as the Elementary Principal of Crossroads since 2015 and has already begun the transition to the Director position, as she was named Interim Director to provide leadership during the final stages of the search and selection process. She earned an undergraduate degree from Messiah College in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Scranton, both in Pennsylvania. Before becoming a principal at CCA, Jamie was an elementary teacher at the Wesleyan Academy in Puerto Rico (her alma mater), then at CCA. Jamie has a long-term commitment to CCA’s mission, vision, and values and brings an insider’s understanding of the operation of CCA and its programs and services.
Crossroads Christian School was founded as a ministry of Crossroads Bible Church in 1997 and is now fully accredited by the Middle States Association and the Association of Christian Schools International and is fully authorized by the Ministry of Education in Panama (MEDUCA). The school is an English-instruction Christian school, providing a U.S.-style educational program. CCA shares facilities with Crossroads Bible Church. The school’s student population represents twenty-four nationalities. Nearly half of the students are Panamanian; about a third are children of long-term residents of Panama; and the remainder are children of families temporarily in Panama from various countries for diplomacy, banking, humanitarian work, import/export, and tourism. Most of the school’s faculty members are from the United States, although several are from Panama and other countries.
Congratulations to Jamie Jodrey, the School Board, and the school community as they begin a new chapter of CCA’s ministry under the leadership of Mrs. Jodrey.
