The GLOBAL School Consulting Group and GLOBAL School Searches are pleased to announce that The DEWEY Schools and their parent company EDUFIT have appointed Mr. Tony Hua, as the System’s first Deputy Superintendent of Academics. M2R Global (www.m2rglobal.com) was responsible for presenting Mr. Hua to GIS as a viable candidate, with competencies and experience commensurate with the position requirements.

Tony has an impressive record of effective educational leadership, most recently in the role of Executive Director of Educational Services for the Compton Unified School District, in California. Prior to his role with CUSD, Tony was the Interim Assistant Superintendent / Director of Secondary Education for the Lynwood Unified School District. Mr. Hua has demonstrated in his career a genuine love for children, a high energy level, a willingness to work hard under tight deadlines and expectations, and a high level of competency in curriculum and instruction.

In his role as Deputy Superintendent of Academics for The DEWEY Schools, Tony will have an important participant in the planning and launching of additional schools for the GIS system. This young and rapidly expanding system of schools strives to deliver the premier educational opportunities for students in Vietnam; providing education that inspires creativity and fosters a strong sense of identity to help students embrace a life that reaches their full potential. GIS has a vision to serve the community with dedication and professionalism. Mr. Hua is expected to contribute greatly to attaining these aspirations.
