Dr. David A. Wells and the GLOBAL Group are honored to support MEDA (www.medahn.organd its partner organization “Exalting Christ in Honduras” (ECH) in announcing and encouraging qualified prospects to apply for the Chief Executive Officer position of MEDA.  “The mission of MEDA / ECH is to serve and strengthen the body of Christ in Honduras, Central American, and the rest of Latin America by training biblically qualified leaders for ministry.”  The organizations’ vision “is the transformation of people, families, and communities that joyfully live to glorify God with total dedication.  It is through the powerful, passionate, and precise preaching of the Word of God that this transformation takes place.  A primary ministry of MEDA is the Seminary for Expository Preaching (SEPE) which contributes directly to attainment of this vision.

The MEDA CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors.  Though he does not need to be an elder of his church, he is a godly man who holds to the MEDA doctrinal statement and meets the character qualifications of 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-10.  He is a uniquely qualified, dynamic, creative, change-agent with 4 years or more of Executive leadership experience and expertise in strengthening non-profit (NGO) organizations that provide positive human impact and measurable return on well-being.  He will be responsible to lead MEDA to scale and build human, organizational, and fiscal capacity, oversee operations, manage stakeholder relationships, in pursuit of completing the Board’s vision and mission.  He will be a focused bilingual (English/Spanish) team player with successfully demonstrated interpersonal, presentation, organizational, and managerial skills.  He will manifest evidence of being an energetic achiever along with demonstrated prior experience in building government, academic, business, and social connections central to non-profit management.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of an MBA or M.Ed. in Organizational Management and/or Leadership, or a master’s degree in another related management field.

In collaborative relationship with the MEDA Board of Directors and the constituents whom the Board seeks to serve, the CEO leads the organization in executing its enduring international mission for the large-scale transformation of Latin America, i.e., the strengthening and equipping biblically qualified individuals to lead local churches and serve as Christ’s catalysts for local community transformation. 

The CEO will possess demonstrated experience in human and institutional capacity development strategies for organizational performance improvement to troubleshoot and problem solve complex organizational issues.  He manages change through intentional use of change models.  He evidences skill in data-driven collection methods and decision-making.  He has used research and evidence-based methods to determine social impact of the organizational mission, fundraising strategy, project viability, strategic planning, team building, and intercultural program/systems development.  He evidences reliance upon an extensive network of extended relationships and global connections from across continents to inform organizational change and leadership.  He evidences expertise in collaborative governance contract development.  He will practice industry standard norms of risk-assessment and risk-mitigation.

Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Salary is contingent upon academic background and prior track-record of successes.  The CEO will be an employee of the Board of MEDA in Honduras.
  • Benefits:  Comprehensive benefits package for the CEO and dependent(s), includes health, dental, vision, orthodontics.  Additional benefits include on campus housing and utilities, relocation costs, professional development fund, 20 paid vacation days per year.
